Post The Price of Green: Bentley Continental Supersports is $267,000

The Continental Supersports has been priced, with Bentley having decided that $267,000 is fair compensation for exclusive access to green, luxurious speed. The ethanol-capable Conti is not only a sign of Bentley technology to come, it also provides the first clues to the next generation Continental, which we were told "isn't far off." Orders can be placed beginning in October, though the first couple hundred units earmarked for the U.S. will be gas-only, with the full on flex-fuel model arriving Stateside summer of 2010.

The total price includes ceramic brakes but not destination and gas guzzler tax, which will take you up to about $275,000. After that, the only limit is your Cayman Islands balance.

Looks great, but that's a lot of coin for a tarted up CGT that runs on corn.

Amazing car. I like it so much, but it is a little bit overpriced. Interesting to see how many orders will come in.

I think it looks great, but there are plenty of other cars i would chose over that for that price. plus in my eyes, the going green is not worth it at the time.

ethanol is bentley's green path? oh man, u gotta be kidding. gm's failure in ethanol isn't enough?

clearly hybrid or all electric are the way to go green in next 10 yr horizon. i dont see why car marker cant promote e85 powered hybrid.

It looks cool, though it's a bit of an oxymoron to call a 2.5t car SuperSports.

In Europe it will probably be 275k Euro. It's quite a lot of money, and as other Bentleys it will depreciate just as bad.
