Yeah water vapor. I just meant it wasn't water from the jet flying so low, but actually from it breaking the sound barrier. lol, sorry if it was misinterpreted.

Sure, but most prop tips at max rpm and max manifold pressure actually approach sonic speeds, so you can actually get prop tip vortices from time to time.

Right. And the reason you see that "cloud" of vapor across the middle of the aircraft is due to the temperature drop between the front side of the shock wave and the back side. It's a LOT cooler so the moisture in the air condenses rapidly.
