No A380 demo at Paris air show after incident: Airbus

A very embarrassing accident happen to Airbus with its A380 while been towed in Le Bourget airport near Paris and the wingtip crashes with a hangar. This particular aircraft was bound to the Paris Airshow and I believe it was the same in the video with the L39 trainer jets. Airbus confirmed that the aircraft will not be able to make it to the air show.

On a side note, even thou that I feel bad for Airbus, I would have loved to hear the conversation between the rep of Airbus with the people of Embraer.

What's the problem, Dana has an extra pair of wingtips they could borrow.

This Winglets costed them a fortune to develop and the problem with this accident was not only the actual cost of fixing, but the cost of oportunity to have this aircraft on the Paris Air show, there own backyard. Boeing Had there fleet compleatly operational and the big card of Airbus was not there. And to make matters worse the A400 had to be grounded when it encountered problems with its gearbox so it was there but not able to do demos.

Airbus still had reasonable sales but, it was not the presentation that they had planed and lost a lot of money.
