+1. My roommates is an architect, I'm going to ask him about this. Would a competent firm disregard the ridiculous code and build something to withstand seriously nasty (but likely) weather? I would.

Here's some aerial pics taken by a local guy. All three hangars failed in exactly the same way. Unreal!

I don't know about Europe, but I never saw anyone shovel up here in Canada, until 2 years ago.
We received an unusually large amount of snow all winter (snowstorm after snowstorm for months), a few commercial buildings collapsed, a few houses, many balconies, and before it got really out of hand hundreds of people were hired to clean the snow off rooftops of schools and large buildings.
It's all part of the game.

I have seen it with 10-15 feet of snow on roofs and continued snowing, but not with 2.

The jet with the blue under body looks huge. What is it?

Well, at least they are consistent [the contractors]. Seriously, I was never a fan of mental building (or hangers). Whenever I hear those ads on the radio, I am always skeptical. Anyways, the moral of the story is to not go in a hanger in texas. Remember when the Cowboy's training facility bit it, sadly someone didn't make it (or was severely injury, don't remember).

I'm just glad that SU-27 I bought from Hernando wasn't in there!

Gobbles - How did your planes hold up with all the snow/wind?
