What an unlucky turn of events. That is some big iron to have to try and repair/replace.

Definitely not something anyone would want to go through because it will end badly for both sides (insurance company and owners).

this will be a long fight between AIG and the company responsible for the construction,maintenance and regular examinations by stress engineers

LOL, American architects and building codes FTW. Since the record snow in the record is soemwhere around 60 inches the roof needs to designed to carry that weight at least. Looks like not enough slope for the roof area. I saw yesterday workers shoveling snow on the roof af a 2 year old Safeway. You see nobody shoveling snow in Europe. Building codes here are a joke.

Exactly did you see the way the supports just snapped and the roof collapsed...bad construction.

nightmare... Its all relative of course, but even with payout the thought of having to wait to have a new plane constructed.... unlike a car you can't go out and replace it. I feel for the owners....
