Lots of talk about wind in the preliminary reporting. It doesn't make a lot of sense at all no matter how many times I watch it.

He looks set up and then it just noses over, bounces hard, rolls and starts coming apart. Still waiting for preliminary reporting from the NTSB.

I`d be really interested to hear the full report, and hear what was recorded on the black box. Strong winds can cause and airplane to shift sideways, but for it to nose over. I wonder how the hell that really happened!?!

I guess wind sheer could have had something to do with it, however from the video it doesn`t look that way to me.

I'm with you. It almost looks like a stall about 50' or so up, maybe windshear stalled the elevator? Has to only be a handful of things that would result in a hard nose over like that.

Could be some really bad wind shear. That's exactly where you don't want to run into wind shear.

So, apparently what happened was that either the pilot or copilot accidentally retracted the flaps. Causing the plane to completely loose lift.

Looks like it had a pretty good sink rate when it hit and then just catapaulted back into the air. Also not sure but is the main front gear down when it hits for the second time.
