As a manufacturer they are subject to levy's and taxes if they don't abide by certain (ridiculous) green regulations. Why do you think Aston is coming out with a "mini". They have to lower their average product carbon footprint, else they will be slapped with fines... er, I mean, taxes. And you know what happens then - those costs are passed on to us!

In Lambo's case, all the Polo Bluemotions that get 70 mpg make up for the Aventador's lack of "greeness'

For Lambo.... and Ferrari... that's gonna be tough.
You understand that the regulation is for the entire car company, right? Lamborghini doesn't have to meet the average, Volkswagen AG has to meet the average. And Ferrari is owned by Fiat, so they shouldn't be worried either. It also doesn't apply if you sell under a certain number of cars so companies like Pagani and Koenigsegg do not have to comply with the 32mpg average.

Well, now I finally know what the deal with the wheels on the white Aventador in Geneva is ... they already showed the Dione optional wheels in March, but never put anything in a press kit yet.

Honestly, who expects Lamborghini to have ANY "green" cred? Who gives a shit? Just pay the damn fine. I'm sure Lambo's customers will be happy to oblige the minor price increase.

And by the way, you put an aftermarket exhaust on your 2013 Aventador, it's gonna sound like crap when running on six cylinders. Already people have been removing aftermarket exhaust from these fullsize pickups that run at highway speeds on four cylinders, blatting away like some ricer.

Just read on another forum that the Stop/Start and CDS is only active in Strada mode. Both systems shut off when placed in Sport or Corsa mode.

Do I NEED all 12 cylinders when driving in the city? No. But I WANT all 12 of them cranking out as much as possible when I do! After all I didn't NEED a Lambo in the first place.*

*Disclaimer: I do not own a Lambo, but if I did....
