Not really, because at the end of the day, they're still selling V10-V12 2 seater cars with no practical purpose, but it does show that they're making an effort to reduce their carbon footprint, and that is what counts.

I think it's a good move. It won't affect performance, it will allow the engineers a little creative freedom and it will help keep their products relevant.

explain to me why they need to be "green friendly". why even care? Toyota, VW and GM build as many cars in a day as Lambo builds in a year

i like this! 18 mpg is unheard of for a lambo! you dont need all 12 cylinders when you're parking or city driving. this comes straight from audi. same tech used in the new s6 and s7.

Sounds like a great idea. With 12 cylinders you should be able to smoothly deactivate multiple cylinders and save TONS of fuel.

I highly doubt this will in any way sanitize the car. Most of the time it shouldn't be noticeable, but it helps Lamborghini and it helps the owners save a few dollars and go further on a tank. At first it sounds silly but if its transparent it should be a nice feature.
