The end of an engine...
#22
Time to go back to Porsche .
I have had in the past 20 Porsche with different type of engine (a lot of turbo ) and never have a failure .
I have had 1 ferrari (456) and one lambo and broken two engines (one on each car) both car was maintened on official dealer and no warranty were apply ....
For me italian car is finished or only new one , we no mods and sell before the end of the warranty ....

If you are going to replace the short block, why would you install a stock block? IMO, not sure on the pricing, it may help sell the car, I would contact Pro Line racing engines ins the US and have them build you a short block.

I'm sure there are slight differences, but it might be a cheaper alternative to an engine direct from Lamborghini?

Great idea, but I suspect a wrecked engine would still run a pretty penny. Cheapest, easiest and most power & reliability if owner has a UGR or Heffner TT set=up. 1000+ awhp fully built engine for about 70k

I could be mistake but I believe the OP needs a short block or an entire engine. When you buy a kit from UGR they use the stock block and have it machined. It may cost more than a stock rebuild from Lamborghini but in the long run I believe the car would be easier to sell with a built engine in it.
