I'm not 100% sure, but they sound very similar. My neighbor has a straight piped Murcie, and I've heard plenty of LP640's stock and with exhaust, they all have that raspy V12 scream. You could try listening to a lot of videos on YT of the older Murcie's and then to LP640's and try to distinguish if there is truly a difference or not.

The sound on the LP 640 is almost identical to the Murcielago.

Correct. The sound is very similar. I find the engine sound of the LP640 to be a bit cleaner sounding than the Aventador but the nature of the V12 sound is very similar. Both respond well to some exhaust modification.
