Murcielago Production?
Hi guys! I just got a few questions that i Can't really find an answer to @ google. I just wondered when the Murcielago went off production. And if any of you think they are stopping the LP-640 when they have sold all the 350? LP 670 SVs'? Thanks for answers, I am really curious if they will make a new updated murcielago.

L-factory is building LP640 only on order basis since the LP670-4 SV was launched, this means order in - car out, no orders - no production. SV was one year production car only, about 320-330 cars are build or are in the works, this is a huge success given current economic situation, I have heard that almost all SV production run is secured with orders and about all run to be produced.
Same with next year, LP640 will be produced on oreder only basis, with line being reworked till next fall, when production of Murcielago model line will stop for all times giving the way to successor, now rumored to be codenamed Jota. There were rumors about even more exclusive Murcielago LP670-2 GT launch next year to keep the production line alive and to get some more cash in, but I highly doubt the launch of such car.
Lamborghini is concentrating on the new flagship car Jota, which will be really big step forward in technology, weight saving, power output and efficiency, and this car is for sure. Speaking about Lamborghini halo car, rumored to be codenamed as Urus, no one knows for sure, if this project exists, it is on the early stage of developement with specs yet to be decided and all we have are rumors, I must admit that there rumors comes from sources which earned their credibilty with correct previous reports, but it is still nothing more than rumors.

I highly highly doubt that Lamborghini will use a 6.0 Litre in the Murcielago replacement. and I also highly highly highly doubt that there will be another special edition Murcielago. Listen to what D55L and not what mujib888 said. As we know D55L is Teamspeeds Automotive Enthusiast

"As for the power, Lamborghini will use a 6.0L V12 which is the same engine used in the first Lamborghini Murcielago, but, this is expected to produce 700hp. This will get the car from 0-100km/h in just 3 seconds. It is said that this new Lamborghini is much longer and wider and of course, since it is a really huge supercar, Lamborghini will keep its permanent four-wheel drive system.
This car may take another 3-4 years in order to go into production while the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV may still be in production for another year or 2."

Well the first Murcie motor was a 6.2 not a 6.0 LT motor.
The Lp670-4 WILL not be produced any further, all orders have been taken and filled as of December 14, 2009. No more 670-4 cars.

Does that only apply in American market or throughout the world?

The post that you replied to has to parts; the initial statement which IMO is based on nothing meaning no facts to suport it and then Roy;s reply that is based in fact.
Future LP670-4 SV production = NONE
Now as for LP640-4 product through 2010; I was told that all is based on pre-sales.
Takes care
