2,000-hp Lamborghini Indomable Concept to find its way into production

Drag varies as the square of speed, which translates to top speed being related to the cube of horsepower. So, twice the horsepower would get you a factor of 2^(1/3) on top speed, which is about 26% extra, on a base of 250 for the Veyron, which translates to about 315 MPH. That assumes, of course, comparable aerodynamics. If they're asserting that they expect only 265, that would make sense only if they're cranking on the downforce (which at those speeds, I would damn well hope they are), or the entire design is massively aerodynamically inefficient by modern standards.
As for the acceleration figures, 2,000 HP in a car weighing 3,200lbs with a driver should crack 200MPH in the 1/4, somewhere in the mid-6's. Realistically, it's traction limited, but the 1/4 mile time should be at least sub-8 second and 180+ trap speed.

So...is it a Lambo or not.... I guess the 572 twin Turbo GM based engine would say no. Hard to believe Lamborghini would sanction anything that received a heart transplant. No thanks if it is faster I'd prefer the original.

It always helps to throw a big name that everyone knows in front of your "model car." Lame.

maybe they should actually study up on their own market... ssc aero held the record from '07- '10, only last year did bugatti get it back.
