I don't doubt for one moment that you are correct, and as stated previously you are in the fortunate position of having first hand knowledge of both vehicles.

If I had the chance I too would have both cars (If I had the money I would have a Diablo, Countach and Miura too plus I'd throw in a 350 as well).

I also appreciate that these days "Supercars" are getting more useable everyday (parking sensors on Aventador), but I'd still love a Murcielago more than a Gallardo. I think you only have to look at the amount of people who have so far replied stating they'd go LP640, I realise that most don't own either but they all want the Murcielago. Granted real world ownership may well change everyones mind lol.

I maybe wrong in my thoughts but thats just me, anyway I am a little envious and hope you continue to enjoy your cars and use them as much as possible.

In fact I'd go the whole hog and get a LP670SV if I had the money, in Nero Nemesis with manual transmission.

I agree with you on certain points. The Murci has a far greater presence. However, ownership does change ones perspective as you stated. The fact of the matter is the Gallardo is a better built car. I had a chance to purchase a Diablo SVa while ago. I passed it on after a mile drive. It felt like a truck. Clutch, gearbox are all heavy IMO. Great to look at, but not so much pleasure to drive. I gave my opinion, the OP must do with it what he wants.

Thank you for the kind wishes, I'll do my best

You do your best sir. I'm in Switzerland in August, close to the French/Italian border so hopefully I may see some exotica.

i remember when i bought my gallardo (one f the first vehicles in europe) i was soooooo excited, but haven driven it on a daily basis for 10000km, i just could not take it anymore and had to sell it! felt so wrong, a lambo without scissor doors!!!!!! WTF? i just could not drive it anymore, literally became discusted with the car. really regret buying it!
then i bought a murcie.... it is one quirky car, makes bizzare noises, hudge blind spot, maintenance bills, etc... but i could not be happier!!!! my fav car! and i have a few... actually i have 2 murcies, that is how much i am in love with it! (in different cities though) and my aventador should be delievered in 3 or so months, i cant wait!

i drive my murcie every day: grocery shopping, going to the gym, whatever, and never in years of ownership had to take it for maintenance for reasons other then usual planned maintenance.

i also have among others a ferrari 599, and that car is 10 times easyer to drive, has incredible interior, comfort, and a bit faster, but the poor thing sits in the garage all day.

Murcie hands down.

I'm with Mike S. Test the Murcie/640 and after a few blocks of driving you will easily spot the difference in build quality and driveability between the two.
