Aventador - how to spec - what are the 'must haves'
the order guide makes for an interesting read but how to choose the final spec without going overboard?
I have been liking the Grigio Estoque exterior and love the black wheels with black calipers. I think too many people go for the contrasting calipers but the show cars demonstrate that the all black look is best (except of course Bruce Wayne's delicious grey LP640). Ferrari is now coming and and saying that their cars look best with the black calipers.
Interior gets a bit harder - the Elegante colours seem hard to get a real feel for and the difference between getting it wrong and right is a fine line! The all black might be a bit boring and make it look too much like an Audi but the bright colours are also not right in my books. Of course I love alcantara but is it possible without the bright? I guess you can have it any way you want if you are prepared to pay as the note at the bottom of the order guide says but the coloured stitching being almost 3x Ferrari's already high price is making my eyes water!
Have been more of a Ferrari fan but the new Aventador is the first Lamborghini that I have lusted after since the Countach in the 80's and the pricing is not far off a 458, at least where I live (20% more) and the performance, tech and sense of occasion is so much greater. The 458 was also a little bit sanitised which I would hope would not be the case in a new V12 bull.
Further on options, I like heated seats, anyone know if you can get this without the power option?
Also how about the various steering wheel and most of all the yellow springs - sounds pretty cool but how visible are they with inboard suspension?
Cheers
