Lp700-4 is entry level?

I'd do it. It's like trading a Scud for a 458. New technology trumps the best of yesterday.

+1. Don't do it. The SV is a collector's car. If you must, get the SV to hold and buy the 700 to drive.

The 700 is gorgeous and technologically impressive, but they're going to make a lot of them. If you're like me at all, which I think you may be, you appreciate the exclusivity the 670 affords. You won't get that with the 700.

Maybe the wrong word but they're going to make a lot of them. The 670 is going to hold it's value and be more appreciated in the long run.

You'd have to elaborate on this but on face value, I strongly disagree. But we can still be friends.

Thanks for all the feedback!

However I was hoping to get some more financial advices on how a straight trade would be...

Seems like the 670 are on sale for 310k-360k and from what I have heard the 700 is about 270k (anyone has a more exact price when fully loaded?) So looking at it that way it seems like it could be a bad trade, but on the other hand you never know what the 670 sells for with a new car around the corner...

Good or bad deal? (financially)

Thanks!

/JON

Well, I think you'd have to drive the LP700 and think about if it's worth the price difference. The LP670-4 SV will hold its value better because it is the last Murciélago where the LP700-4 will evolve and have more models. Think about how the original Murciélago transformed into the LP640-4 and then the LP670-4 SV. Keep in mind how much original Murciélagos (2001-2006) go for now.

Personally, I'd keep the 670 SV until the facelift/extreme LP700 comes out.

But then the LP670 will lose value against the potential LP7x0 SV ...

So yeah difficult equation to solve ...

I would not do the trade, you would be giving up the greatest in a long line, to get into the first year model run. The new car is full of electronic gadgetry that will surely cause issues at first..

sell privately if you must, you would lose on a trade just to be first to have one. think why your dealer is eager to do the swap.

Hey J, see if you can negotiate so that you spec the 700 w/ all the options you want for free, if not then try to sell it first is my advice.

How does the new flagship/most powerful and advanced car they've ever made qualify as "entry level" ?
