IMO the Balboni failed because the price was too high and they held back the power. To drive, to me, and a few of my friends, it was otherwise everything the Gallardo should have been. I do hope this failure doesn't blinker the company from considering RWD. I didn't personally like Lamborghini's manual box as fitted to my old Gallardo Spyder and Superleggera, it was a slow old thing. The paddles keep getting better and the new ISR promises to be excellent.

I would be happy if Lamborghini will continue to develop RWD cars, they are so enjoyable. Things would be so much better, if they just have launched RWD LP550-2 as the entry level G-car and have kept that Balboni badge for the last irretation of Gallardo, for something really cool, not just for this overpriced thing.

Agree about ISR, that sounds to be right choice.

And next halo car which can be considered as a successor to Reventon, but with much more differences, not only few hp and new body style is in the works. According to my information it will arrive to celebrate the Lambos Anniversary in 2013. Because Geneva auto show in 2012 will see the launch of absolutely new Gallardo successor. Also LP700-4 Roadster will arrive in a year time, so they have some work to be done before thinking about next halo car.
Huh, I'm pretty sure "halo car" is just another term for flagship car.
I also doubt Lamborghini will debut the Gallardo successor and the LP700-4 Roadster in the same year.

Eh I don't know, it just doesn't make much sense to me.
They seem to always wait aprox. 2/3 years before debuting a new model/variant.

See: Murciélago - 2001 / Murciélago Roadster - 2004 / LP640 - 2006 / LP670 SV - 2009

That isnt a valid argument since you left out the Gallardo Spider out in 2006 as well...lol

wtv...well see what happens...anything till then is pure specualation since we havent heard it from Lambo Head quarters...the wait is long...urg lol
