Does anyone know if this car is finally going to perform like a supercar should? Lamborghinis always have plenty of horsepower, sound great, and look great, but when you finally put them on the track they get beaten by sports cars that cost far less and aren't even mid-engine.

Nürburgring lap times (all Sport Auto tests)

7:33 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 997MkII
7:38 Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1
7:38 Nissan GT-R
7:38 Ferrari 458 Italia
7:39 Ferrari 430 Scuderia
7:40 Porsche 911 GT3 997MkII
7:42 Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 SV
7:46 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
7:47 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 E-Gear
7:49 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The car was in Bahrain today for a viewing but I could not make it :-(
But according to the guys that made it to the even, the car is out of this world with regards to looks inside and out... Its a large car but feels just a little larger than the G an the inside is very cockpit like, more than the Rev
The sound is said to put the 599 GTO to shame!!!
But what really got me by surprise is the pricing, it's BD140,000 which is around USD 375,000... To me that's an amazing price for the car.

I think this car will be too heavy to make it under 7:40. And tbh I think most Lambo customers don't mind as long as they get all the gadgets and luxury interior which you don't get in i.e. a Porsche GT3.
It'll still beat any of those listed cars in a straight line and that's how 90% of the owners use it. I'm sure they'll make a lightweight more track oriented version of this car at a later stage.

The car has 70% increased stiffness from the CF tub and the suspension in the rear is horizontal like F1 cars, Couldn't see the fronts but the rear suspension was veery visible in the engine bay. Weight is in the sub 1600kg (around 1570-1580kg i think) so make out what you will from that.

Been doing about 4-5 trackday weekends a year since 1990, first Lamborghini I ever saw at one was last fall. So I don't think overall track performance is of much concern to most owners. Or even if it is, they won't be using the car that way.

Front suspension also inboard pushrod, that's why the trunk is smaller than the Murci's, the suspension forces the bulkhead behind the trunk forward

Car will be lighter than 1600, much lighter. In the presentation slides they announced 229 kg weight decrease. Car will be very light for V12 AWD supercar.
