There is a lot of misinformation here about the Corsa mode. You can push the button anytime. All it does is shorten the time when shifting and add slightly faster engine response. It does nothing to the exhaust. It also disengages the auto-shit (depending on what RPM it's set at) and that's about it, so you may hit the rev limiter.
Many prefer to drive with Corsa on because the theory is that it lengthens the clutch life because there is less clutch slip. Shifts aren't as smooth so if you're just driving around in rolling traffic you may not like the way it feels.

I just got off the phone with the head of R&D in Italy as I wanted to clarify something. Corsa only shortens the shift time and only when you're accelerating hard. It has no practical effect on everyday driving, other than it cancels out the auto shift at redline. He said there is no difference in clutch wear in everyday driving between the two modes. The button does nothing else.
