I just heard, there will be Gallardo LP560-2 as MY2011 car. Any more info?

 

It will be a 2011 MY Lp550-2, not 560..

It is available for order as of April 15 this year.

Basicaly it is the 2010 Balboni 550-2 with out the stripe and it can be ordered in all colors and all options as with the 560-4. It will not be a limited production vehicle

It WILL piss of Balboni owners as it is the same car with out a stripe, a little less base price and a few suspension upgrades..

 

good move on lambo's part but it will definitely piss off balboni owners.

 

Hey Roy, did you sell your white LP-670 or do you still have it. I noticed its not on your website anymore. Also, I heard awhile ago the lp-560 was getting upgraded brakes for 2010? Is this true? Thanks.

 

Nope, still have the ^70-4SV in White...just really dont want to sell it...and leaving it up on the site..I was getting offers every week...which were steadily climbing...was afraid someone would get close to my $475K price and I would have to sell it then...and with only 3 left for sale in the USA..I figured I keep this amazing car..

The Lp550-2 NOT 560-2 for 2011 has the same brakes.

 

I think the new Balboni won't look as good as the 2010. I think the stripe makes it really stand out from LP560-4's and without that you will only be able to tell the difference visually by the wheels and a few tiny badges.

Yes, RWD version is coming as a stardard model in the Gallardo range in MY11. As Roy said this car will feature upgraded suspension, and also I was told that a better set-up for CC optional CC brakes will be also, it will be on all MY11 cars since the launch of LP570-4 SL.

With all my love to Lambos, they made absolutely wrong things in 2009. It was absolutely no use to launch a limited edition LP550-2 Valentino Balboni and them to switch it to normal production car. Poor Balboni, I can not imagine how he is feeling when the car was not successful and now there is another coming as the cheapest in range.

To my mind the way better plan was to launch LP550-2 in 2009 as normal production car, cheapest in the range, then to launch LP570-4 SL in 2010. And then as a pinnacle of Gallardo range, in the very end of production run, to launch very exclusive car, something like LP590-2 Valentino Balboni, extreme version without any compromises to please hardcore Lambo purists and to celebrate Balboni's hard work for Lambo. I guess Valentino and customers would much more happy if this scenario would took place.

 

Yeah seems like a bad move if I owned a Balboni I'd be pissed.
