Why is it so hard for people to pay compliments to each other in the tuning business? I am sure Heffner and Underground both build extremely impressive cars. Have both experienced their fair share of problems? Absolutely, anyone pushing an engine to the level that both of these two do is going to experience problems, breakdowns, etc.

Both tuners have turned out some very impressive cars that have accomplished some miraculous feats on the track/road. As with any high-tech industry, technology, material and knowledge changes on what seems like a daily basis. Comparing cars built at different times isn't the fairest thing to do. However, friendly competition (like that here) is what has helped continually push the envelope in the automotive world.

I can only imagine what two tuners could accomplish if instead of focusing on a pissing contest, they worked together and shared their experiences.

That would be like me saying "Hey look at this Underground car that caught on fire. That thing couldn't even drive one mile without scattering parts all over the place." You don't know the facts regarding any of our cars and as far as I know I am not required to fill you in on them. If you'd like to continue on twisting truths and embellishing particular bits and pieces of information to make things seem like what they are not, and can manage to still sleep at night, have at it. It's a pretty low class move though.

Please Jason, save the BS for someone who believes it... Remember these days? Now you just have Allan Lambo do your dirty work.

Speaking of that maybe we should share the pictures of your poor design that you pulled on so many Heffner TT Gallardo's and yet you go and do exactly what you accused us of doing after we came out with out TT Gallardo system, redesign your Heffner... very poor TT system!

The picture below is of Jerry's Gallardo that had a Heffner TT System that we removed and replaced with an Underground Racing system.

Jason, someone whose chief internet cheerleader and customer is Allanlambo has no business using the term low class to describe anyone else. He defines the term. You aren't "required" to divulge details of prior engine failures nor are you "required" to disavow Allan's continuous false attacks on Underground or try to get him to shut up. And you don't. I'm not sure you realize how poorly he reflects on your business.

Kevin,

Your post above has done a wonderful job of illustrating several things:

1. Our original turbo system which was designed in 2004 to make 850 horsepower and did so very well was not as shiny as yours.

2. After you drive your turbo Gallardo for 8,000 miles or so, you will accumulate dirt on your undercarriage.

3. You have been obsessed with us and what we are doing since at least 2005.

4. You have convinced yourself that the redesign of our turbo system was somehow an attempt to mimic your system even though they look totally different from one another.

For those reading this thread I ask you to please take note of the fact that I have made no attempts to discredit, defame or attack Underground racing in any way whatsoever here, however Kevin still feels compelled to attack Heffner Performance whenever possible. Kevin, I'm not certain what your issue is with me. If you figure out what it is, please let me know. I understand that you live for internet drama but I could do without it.

I'm beginning to think Heffner and UGR are the same company... just with a sever case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

It required cutting of the hood for intercooler plumbing, oil pumps to get the oil from the turbos back into the engine and had a few other unsatisfactory characteristics. Back in December we brought one of our twin turbo SRT's to Bradenton for the V10 Nationals and the guys from this other shop couldn't help but take note of whatever information and design they could gather from our turbo car. A few months later this shop proudly released it's newly redesigned turbo system and lo and behold, it looked a lot like mine. I thought this was rather pathetic at first but didn't make a big deal out of it because I figured, well, maybe I should be flattered. They must have thought to themselves "we already tried coming up with our own ideas and it just wasn't as nice as this one so why don't we just take a shortcut and copy it". They say imitation is the best form of flattery.

Now we are a few months down the road and this other shop got a GTS twin turbo system together. I thought "good for them". That is until I saw a picture of it. I'll be damned if they didn't take the same despicable low road and try to imitate our turbo system AGAIN.

I fully understand that there are only so many ways to "skin a cat" but come on. As a reputable tuner I would be outright embarrassed to be caught attempting to duplicate what someone else has done. Could someone please explain to me the mindset that is present when doing something like this? I guess this fits in the same category as Alfine car stereos and Brolex watches.

Maybe if imitation really is the greatest form of flattery I should just say.........thanks?

For what it's worth I do not employ any "Internet cheerleaders". I have no control over Allan or what he posts on the internet nor do I request or provoke Allan to engage in any activities with Underground Racing. As a matter of fact I have just received a text from Allan expressing his discontent for my lack of participation in this exchange. I certainly do realize that this Internet drama reflects poorly on us which is why I make every attempt to steer clear of it. Allan has his own reasons for his dislike of Underground Racing. I have no control over this. I have no power to make Allan, or any other friend or customer like someone who he does not like.

I am certain that my posts here will not satisfy anyone in the Underground camp. With that in mind, I feel sorry that I have wasted these minutes of the day.

I think if you'll examine this thread closely it is more of an attempt to shed some light on the fact that you were designing all of our turbo systems to look like ours.

I just noticed that this was like five years ago. Jesus!

Jason,

What does miles have to do with hacking up Jerrys car as you did shown in those pictures? Did the miles cause the hacking of the Gallardo? Please answer that one.

I have to say I lost all respect for you when I saw what you did to Jerrys Gallardo!
