This is for the other SV owners.... has anyone fitted a tubi on their sv and if so what are your thoughts?

 

I was thinking about getting it done - I understand there are a few cars in both Italy and Kuwait with the Tubi exhaust (btw there are two versions)

The reason I haven't done it is because on my Scuderia I've had to have most of the engine CF replaced because of heat damage. As it's the standard exhaust Ferrari obviously cover this under warranty

But what happens if the Tubi is so hot that it damages the LP670 engine bay CF - no way are Lambo going to fix that under warranty.

That's a really good point. I've only had my sv for 24 hours and i love the induction sound. Just dont know how it sounds out the back yet but have a look at this clip. This SV sounds insane and if this is Tubi (race) then i want it

Given that SVs are rare, I'm not doing a thing to modify mine. I had the OC exhaust on my LP640 and loved it, but the big benefit was gain in HP. I have my doubts that after market exhaust would yield the same gain. Before someone modifies their SV, they should before and after dyno the car and see if there actually is a difference then given how rare SVs are on a worldwide basis, consider the impact on value. Given all that, I'm sticking with factory.

 

I wouldn't modify an SV for a million bucks if I had one. Just take a look at that enormous exhaust, does it look like it needs any modifying? Also I'm pretty sure the SV in that video is stock, the sound is just like in all the other tests I've seen: Insane!
