It's funny because I thought something was seriously wrong with the car, then I go to Lambo Power and find out all this shit is normal. They say that unless the engine is idling funny or pulling power, to just drive the hell out of it and don't worry about it.

The day it leaves me stranded on the road is the day that SOB will be gone! Until then, I'll enjoy.

A Lambo?

Lets just be honest. What are you paying for any car that is priced over $15k? I can buy a Honda that will get me from point A to point B and it will drive and run and work and I can get it for under $20k. As you go up in price you gain some sensory enjoyment and handling that you can't get with other cars. The Lambo has incredible linear power, the handling is the best I've ever felt, and it looks and sounds incredible.

i understand your analogy even though a bit exxagerated.

a 2008 honda civic will get you from point A to B just as efficiently as a 2008 bmw 5 series.... though there will be a $35000 difference which buys you comfort, bells and whistles, performance, etc etc...

but to spend $200,000 for PURELY a lambo which offers little more than prestige and the bold statement that 'i have enough money to buy a $200,000 car'.

ive never owned one so cant personally say anything.. though it appears many are dissapointed with the unusually heavy price tag and its few rewards.

The analogy was a bit exagerated but you get the idea.

I understand what you say though. I looked at a Carrera GT one time and I just could not see the $500k price tag (at that time). If I had an extra $500k sitting around, would I buy one? Hell yes! Most of the guys driving a Lambo don't worry about the price tag. They buy the car because the want it and all the quirks are just part of the ownership.

agree with you 100%.. if you have the cash why not... i just think for $200,000 i can buy a brand new porsche twin turbo cabriolet ($155,000), dump $40,000 into it and have me not only the fastest car on the street, but a fully functional daily driver, prestigous car.... regardless, to each his own.....

last.. whats the deal with them outrageous colors lambo uses... is somebody in the design line color blind?

If I could keep one car, I would keep my 997TT. It is reliable, compfortable, fast, easy to drive, and beautiful. The Porsche is always a good choice.
