OK LAMBO owners... so is it worth the money?

Depending on your definition of performance it is. If you're looking for a light, fast, agile car that handles well, the V12 lambos won't get it done. If you want a fast car for rapid transit on the open road, there isn't much that comes close to the experience.
IMHO you're basically buying a really awesome motor. The rest of the car is pretty much an afterthought (although less so with the Audi Lamborghinis). But man, what a motor. There's nothing quite like an Italian 12-cylinder, NOTHING.

I'm not really qualified to comment, because I'm not an owner; but I've been priviledged to drive a couple Gallardo's, and they were amazing. Got stuck in traffic, and it had no issues. If I could justify the expense, and survive what my wife would do to me, I think it'd be a great car.

I am not an owner but I asked a couple of Gallardo owners that I know they said they will never purchase a new Exotic Ferrari/Lamborghini new again, used is the best way and you get a car 30% of its initial msrp after just 4 years; rather than having 30% of your cars value depreciate within 4 years I would rather invest them for a while and try to get 1.5% return at least on a monthly basis. So instead of buying a 200,000usd I can get one for 100,000usd with mileage ranging from 30-40,000km which I dont think is that much for 4 years,

100,000 usd gets you a 2004 E-gear gallardo with 30-40,000km on the clock and 120,000 gets you a used 03 Murcielago with similar mileage.

Just got mine and all I have to say is... what an Italian car!
What a finicky bitch this car is. If you love check engine lights, dead batteries, strange rattles, noisy pumps, erratic idling, intermittant stereo, CEL's, etc... then the Lambo is for you.
BUT, even after all of that (and I've only had the car for four days), I love it and it drives incredibly well.
But owning this car makes me love my Porsche even more. It just does everything right.
