Would you get a Lambo G or something else for $100k?

This actually opens up a whole different topic. For the most part, any Pcar (minus the CGT) will blend well into a parking alot. If you have a Lambo, Fcar, etc, you have to worry about people keying your car or messing with it. Sometimes valet (up front) is the only place you can park it without worry about it (as long as the valet guys don't go for a joy ride).
Around ATL I get very nice ppl asking me about the 997 (which believe it or not attracts a lot of attention out here) I just hope I dont' feel like I can't drive the Lambo without being hassled.

It's all about the fun factor, all the cars you're looking at will be fun to drive. When you're being PAID to drive them and you're paid to be the fastest, then get the paddle shifters or the fastest cars (GT3RS??), until then, get the one that makes you smile the most, whether you're driving to the corner store or the corner at the end of the Mulsanne.
Besides, it's fun to savour all that life has to offer. In this case, and because you have another car to use as your daily, get the G. Like you're doing with your 997, you can always trade it in when it's time for another.

I'd wait for a ZR1 for MSRP.
It's a complete package. A new car with great styling, astronomical power, fantastic brakes, compliant ride etc.
In my opinion: The R8 and Vantage are slow [for the money I mean]. The Gallardo is a bit slower than a ZO6. The viper is too crude. The 911 looks too plain [not in terms of attention I just don't like post 993 911's]. CLK BS? Flappy paddles, and I hate CLK's.
As for concerns on the interior, the leather wrap is quite nice. As for it looking like a $40k vette, I think they look great.
Oh and it's not a hate magnet. At least not as much as an exotic.
Just presenting a different car for you *flame-suit on*
