That is correct on the 360. Neither one of us really like the 360 styling, we both prefer the 355 styling.

The 355 is way more expensive because you have to take out the engine to do any kind of service work. Lots of labor hours.

I guess that's an indication on how bad the economy is there. Things aren't that great here either, but the cheapest Gallardo I've seen so far (with the old exchange rate) is $300k, with current exchange rate $200k.

What is the service cost and interval like? I drive my cars, and in two and a half years, I have put more than 24K miles on my GT2, so if it gets replaced with the Gallardo, similar miles will be driven.
.
I think if you sold your GT2 you could get a sweet newer Gallardo and have money left over. BTW, I think I saw you one day on the 101 in Ventura. It may not have been you, but how many speed yellow GT2s are running around So Cal? Either way, the car looked hot!

Could have been me. If the lower lip spoiler is all chewed up, then it was probably me.

I DD the car, so the lower lip is in pretty bad shape. I have a brand new one in the garage for the high speed runs or long trips. I discovered that a chewed up lower lip spoiler really makes the car unstable at high speed.

In my dream, I was driving on a lonely non patrolled highway around redline in 5th.

It is most obvious when you are trying to setup to enter sweepers.

But it was in my dream.

Are we looking at 355 type of 10 grand every 15K mile type of service cost, or more like the GT2 1 to 2 grand type of servcie cost every 15K miles?

I love the engine note on the Lambo's, and DD'ing it would be awesome.
That price is absolutely not true. So many people giving false information. I've sold '04 Gallardos between $110-$120k. That is probably a really f'ed up car or salvaged. A very likely indication of cheap cars are ones that go to auction. Auction cars always = not very good cars.

The Gallardo is very low maintenance for an exotic. The only expensive item would be the clutch and that could cost $5-$7k in service which includes the clutch. Let me know if you want a nice one and I can help you. Fortunately I don't sell the cheap junk cars. I like to use the term "you get what you pay for!"

I think you'll find the Gallardo lacking in overall driving excitement compared to your GT2.

Just kicking ideas around. Never had any Italian cars, and the prices I am hearing makes it interesting.

I still need to drive a 997 Turbo with PSM off and see if it's more interesting to drive than the 996 Turbo that I traded in.

Keep in mind the Gallardo an Italio-German car. I would say if you want the true "italian car" feeling, a Diablo SV would be the most accurate IMHO. Very raw, brutal and uncompromising.

997 Turbo PSM on or off will not give you the feeling of the 2.

I have a customer's heavily modified 3.3 turbo that we just did an engine overhaul to at the shop and am putting gentle break-in miles on and slowly starting to feed in the boost. There is nothing like a turbocharged RWD Porsche, absolutely nothing. Cherish what you got
