2014 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante Spotted

Once again, our spies caught up with a very thinly disguised prototype of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante – this time right before undergoing handling tests at the challenging German Nürburgring. Like every other Volante model in Aston's range, the open-top version of the Vanquish features a retractable fabric hood that stows away between the passenger compartment and the boot area.

Under the bonnet, you will find the same 5.9-litre V12 engine generating 565 hp and 620 Nm of peak torque connected to a 6-speed Touchtronic 2 automatic transmission driving the rear wheels as on the coupe model.

Given how ready the prototype looks in these spy pictures, we wouldn't be surprised if Aston Martin reveals the car as early as next month's Geneva International Auto Show with sales to follow before the end of the year.
