Track Focused Jaguar XKR-S Spotted at the ring!

Our Teamspeed spies have snapped this hard-core looking XKR-S during an industry test day at the Nürburgring, where it was putting in some very fast hot-laps. Could this be Jaguars answer to the Black Series cars from AMG?

As we can see on this XKR-S there are quite some changes compared to the normal car such as a deeper front spoiler with canards mounted on the sides, a different engine hood with more air outlets and of course the massive rear wing.

If you take these optical changes and combine those with the lack of rear seats, bucket seats up front and a stiffer suspension you will get a very potent track orientated supercar, possibly. To spice things up a little we also suspect that the 550 horses under the hood will be joined by a bit more horsepower just in case.

 

Looks very nice and purposeful. Love it.

 

My guess is that this is a testbed for a GT2 racer.

If it was for ghté I guess they would go much more hardcore.

I think they go a little too far with the XK...
