Aston Martin To Celebrate 100th Anniversary With New Model
Reporters are scrambling to figure what new model Aston Martin is planning to reveal in a few months time ever since CEO Dr Ulrich Bez confirmed plans to introduce an all-new model this summer.
"We have to do something remarkable to mark our centenary. It won't be a DB9 with a Centenary Edition badge and it won't be a limited edition like the One-77 supercar. This will be a mainstream Aston." Bez said in his chats with the British publication Auto Express.
The Aston CEO declined to elaborate further, but Bez is most likely referring to the DB9 successor, yet many are speculating these spy photos are of the revised DBS, but we can't but wonder if this is the new DB9 that lies under this test mule caught by our Teamspeed spy photographers last month here. Its aggressive front bumper, ventilated hood and LED taillights have us excited for the official release of this new generation Aston Martin.
Engine specifications remain unknown at this point. Be it a special edition DBS or new DB9, we're excited either way to see what comes out of the Gaydon factory! Stay tuned as always for more news as it comes in.

Me too ! Except for the rumours that it will be auto only from autocar, which unfortunately tie in with the general & Aston attitude to manuals, which are already no longer available in Virage, DBS ultimate & special editions, etc
This is however not DB9. This is project VH310, DBS replacement, almost certainly to be named something other than DBS. It is being shown in previews to customers this month.

As an Aston fanboy I think I can even admit that their lineup could use some freshening up. I'm looking at you, V8 Vantage and DB9, they have basically been the same since they were introduced, minus a couple of small tweaks mostly to their exteriors.
