Spied: 2013 Aston Martin DBS Undisguised [Updated]

Love the new front bumper, though it far more aggressive than elegant. And the duckbill lip on the trunk is a nice touch as well. I'm kind of hoping that the new DB will have a diffrent styling compared to the previous models, Keeping with the trade mark grill but body style to diffrent.

I may be wrong Tim but I think it's someone different to the OP saying it will be the Vanquish
Incidentally, whils the plate is differnet, it looks identical to this mule https://teamspeed.com/forums/aston-m...artin-db9.html - if you look closely, new hatch boot, wheels and more are the same - the camo hides the bulging rear flanks. At the time, I suggested I thought it too aggressive to be DB9
I've been told I have an invite for next month too, but I don't know what I've been invited to see !

Apart from Jonbkay´s accurate descriptions I also noticed that on the 1st picture the hood has also been taped up as if GT type vents will be placed there
& on picture #3 you can see first that the door chime where the dorsal vents are has bee very elongated similar to the One77,
the rear window has been taped over indicating that the glass will indeed be longer than that of the DB or Vantage series, just like the first Vanquish.

My invite has come through for May 28th at Gaydon - this is for one of a series of customer preview days which I think start around now
Very little info on my invite but I think it's now safe to assume the following, in some intances as per my guesses on here of a couple of weeks ago, the rest from snippets from 2 or 3 different people who have now seen the car
-This is project VH310
-This is effectively going to replace the DBS, certainly in terms of place in the range
-This will be more distanced from the current (or replacement) base GT i.e. DB9/Virage than DBS was
-This will almost certainly not be called DBS and may be called Vanquish but may be called something else from the back catalogue (or new) but will most likely be a name (not a 'code' like DB9 or DBS) and may not even start with a V - Bulldog is amongst those names muted
-Although power won't be up hugely, at 550-600bhp, weight should be down too through much more use of CF body panels and lighter under the skin in some areas. I've been told it's a total CF body but let's see...
-This will almost certainly be the centenary car
-The renderings are too much based on the spyshots whereas actual car is apparently much more dramatic - I believe this will have presence in bucketloads and is a truly eye catching car
-Cost a little higher than the press are speculating - in the UK, old DBS c. £180k but this new car perhaps nearer £220k
-Probably only auto transmission (Boooo !!!)
-New very heavily revised interior, again more so than press speculation - I hear it may be much more than increased quality materials and a quick makeover referred to in the press, to infact be biggest interior makeover since DB9 came out and certainly more of a jump than original DB9 to DBS interior was
Of course it is possible that certain things, such as transmission choice, model name, perhaps even final price, are not yet decided. They may even listen to customers at these previews to help decide these things ? Or is that too sensible ????
