The orange was great, but got to much attention from the police, getting pulled over once a week was a pain

I'd say driving habits would have bit more to to with being pulled over once a week

while color is easier to spot, it doesn't make you speed

nope not speeding and no tickets, just a doc check, the problem here in the UK is a wrap isn't declared to the DVLA (goverment driving people) so when police pull up reg on computer whilst following you, it lists it as a silver car, as you say orange only made it stand out more, hence them following in the first place.
