Coming from the Porsche world before I bought Astons I used to hear the same thing from non Porsche people. Now that I own AM's and circle with others it's relatively easy to tell Vantages from DB9's and DBS. On the other hand, I need to be right next to a Porsche to know if it's a C4 or a GTS or whatever other variant. Even the boxsters are hard to tell from an oncoming angle. So it really becomes a matter of familiarity and relativity.
