I'm a big fan of the current Jag range. The XF is a blast, the XJ looks great, and the XKs are cut-price Astons. Not much to hate there.
Minus the 400 recalls these XJ's have.

I don't know if recalls are an apples to apples way of comparing cars. Some manufacturers, like BMW, seem to avoid recalls at any cost. THE HPFP issue with the N54 engines for example should have been a recall, but they avoided doing the recall until the issue got out of hand. Lexus on the other hand hasn't had a single valve spring failure in any of its V6s, but recalled all of them just in case. Somewhere in between is the right answer. My sense is Jag is pretty fair in this regard.

These cars are HOT - Jaguar really outdid themselves on the interior, and I am thoroughly impressed.

Beautiful cars. Let's hope that we'll see them be good mechanically as well. As someone else pointed out, the 2006-era transmission needs to be updated. I really hope that Tata doesn't destroy Jaguar and Land Rover, with the changes we're seeing now being the tail end of Ford R&D.
