Wow I didn't realize the porsche was so much quicker. There's a great article about the Rapide in the newest Automobile Magazine, and I think they hit the nail on the head. The author argued that even though it doesn't have a lot of room inside and it's not the fastest 4-door you can buy, it was undeniably a good move for Aston, where as the Panamera got heat from nearly half of the car world for not being a proper Porsche. If it weren't for the backwards gauge needles, i'd take the Rapide just because of how damn pretty it is.

Very nice. Aston is gorgeous but gets obliterated.

In the Evo mag review that pits the Quattroporte and Supersports agains these two as well, according the Chris Harris, the Aston is by far the best car.
