http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mto_N...l_pageArticle:
These are the most revealing pictures yet of the Aston Martin One-77 concept car, taken by autocar.co.uk’s photographer during an exclusive shoot.
They show the interior and exterior of the £1.2 million car in previously unseen detail, and give the best clues yet as to what the 77 buyers of the ultra-exclusive car will get when the first orders are delivered next March.
You can also hear the One-77’s engine fire up for the first time in our exclusive video, which also features Aston Martin boss Ulrich Bez showing Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe around the car.
Sutcliffe describes the 700bhp 7.3-litre V12's engine note as 'making the Bugatti Veyron seem like a washing machine by comparison'.
So far just over half the allocation of 77 cars has been sold. Each requires an immediate down-payment of £200,000; the remaining £850,000 plus taxes are payable on final delivery.
Aston Martin says it will do its best not to sell to speculators, although ultimately it’s very difficult to work out who intends to do what with their car once it has been delivered.
Aston admits that there are several interested parties who have little or no intention of driving their cars. Instead, they want one as a piece of automotive art or merely as an object to collect, much like a painting by Van Gogh or a football shirt worn by Pele.
One customer has even ordered two, apparently - one to drive and one to have stripped down for parts, which will then be hung on his wall.

It's perfection to look at. I just hope Fifth Gear and Top Gear will get to test one. I'm so looking forward to that test you guys have no freakin idea :P
I wonder if it goes around a track as fast as the supercars with mid-engines we have today like the Enzo, Zonda F or CGT.

I wonder why Bez do not want to give a car for test drives to journalists. Is this because of high exclusivity level or because he knows that some magazines, EVO for example, would jugde this car not as piece of automotive art, as it being presented to public, but a car to drive and to enjoy, and for them awesome exhaust sound and good advertisment are not enough to rank the car high. And I am sure there will be a lot of critics to One-77, same way as EVO criticised DBS during all test drives. It is not any sort of secret for anyone that Astons are loosers in performance competition with other supercar makers, 599 GTB makes a mockery of DBS, GT2 is so much faster than V12 Vantage and so on. Any bad report about One-77 can hurt sales and my guess would be that Aston wants to pre-sale all production run, before any of magazines would be able to get their hands on this car. I do not want to compare One-77 with Veyron, I am sure no one does, it is simply not honest, but I am not sure how One-77 will stand against such supercars as Enzo, Zonda F Clubsport, SLR 722s, and even 599 HGTE. I can not even imagine how One-77 owners would feal, when their £1,2M hypercar will loose on the track to 225K pounds worth 599 HGTE, they can only calm themselves down by saying that they own not a car, but a piece of art.
