Sounds really good, but I think I have my heart set on a pearl white. I had a look at their interior samples. The only red they have is "Chaplan Red" - which is more burgundy in colour than red. So they are going to find out from the factory if I can have a custom red made for the vehicle.

You're not! Being a big fan of proportion, the Vantage doesn't have it as well as the DB. I like the Vantage but it appears like a squished version of the bigger cars. V12 is probably too much engine for it and the high PO V8 is plenty.

I agree. I think a V8 suits that car better. DBS is one of my favorite cars, so I would take it over any other aston anyday. I'm going to start looking into getting one but I don't know if I should wait for the new ones or just stick with a 6 speed tranny. I want to get to drive both first.

 

You probably know it's available in 6-manual and auto right now, so I'm a bit confused in what you mean by "wait for the new ones". Since their auto isn't a true manual like Porsche, Ferrari and BMW, not much justification unless someone couldn't drive a stick and liked the car. You can get into a slightly used one shortly for just on the other side of 175K wholesale, probably not in CA.
