for the mogwai fans (the fountain)

i watched The Fountain the other night again - absolutely beautiful movie - but i noticed how great the music sounded. i decided to buy the soundtrack.

lo & behold, it arrived today, and there's a reason that music sounded so great - mogwai.

Some songs (warning: most show some scenes from the movie)
YouTube - ♫ Soundtrack - The Fountain - Tree of Life (full length)

YouTube - ♫ Soundtrack - The Fountain - The Last Man (full length)

SPOILER - THIS IS THE END OF THE MOVIE (not that you will know what's going on)
YouTube - The Fountain End

i'd highly recommend the soundtrack - it's an amazing piece of work - equal to the movie (which is the highest compliment i can think of.) the movie just gives you enough of each song to tease you

I love this movie and it's definately in my top 10. I own it on Blu Ray and regular DVD. It's funny you mention the music, because that is what makes this movie so good. If it didn't have the soundtrack it does, it wouldn't be as powerful of a movie.

Mogwai rocks my socks off. I also really dig Explosions in the Sky in that same genre...

yep, i like Explosions just a touch more, although Mogwai's Zidane soundtrack is just as good, if not better.

For some reason the first time I heard them I wrote them off. But there really is brilliance in their composition. Very textural, I dig it.
