Officially Official: Mercedes-Benz Reveals 2014 SLS AMG Black Series

I'm nobody... I don't even have the kind of cash to buy it. Not even near... but I have to say: i don't like it. I get the C63 Black. I really like that one. It's a pumped up version of a normal daily car. It needs a big wing, buffed out bumpers and so. It has to look like that. It's a statment. I'm badass, I drive a track day car to the shops.
What I don't get, and don't like, is a supercar infused of the same idea. The original SLS looks like a masterpiece. Why change it's visuals so much? Now it looks like it's been to Mansory or something.
And it doesn't work. The C63 Black works because the original car is so boring and the SLS Black doesn't work because the original car looked so unique. Now if you have the SLS, you have the "simple" SLS. And if you have the Black, you have the over-the-top-not-a-track-car-too-busy-to-be-a-GT version.

Don't get me wrong. I get the apeal of a 622HP SLS. Give it the extra horses, wider rubber, better brakes and something unique inside like crazy bucket seats and there you go. I just don't get why it needs to be so visually Hulked.
It's different with a Superleggera or a Scuderia. The mods were simply, discrete and functional, and the cars acctually became track cars.
Well, maybe I'm the only one... but I don't think fake tits are necessary when the girl is already perfect.

^Im with you on that last statement.
But i feel that this is way more toned down than other Black Series cars.
The CLK,SL and C are amazingly brutal..while i think this and the SLK is abit more discrete.
I was expecting way more fake tits ( 3 Total recall style!)

I agree it's less toned up than the CLK and C... just don't think it was enough....
Wanted it to be a really faster racier yet discret SLS. Almost a sleeper... just cause the looks were so good. Looks were not the bit that needed Black Series labeling.

LOL @ Total Recall (did they keep it on the remake? haven't seen it yet).

The bodykit looks like something terrible from Mansory...
But that engine! I need that in a C63 or E63!
Displacement: 6,208cc
Compression ratio: 11.3:1
Power: 622hp at 7,400rpm
Torque: 468lb/ft at 5,500rpm
Maximum engine speed: 8,000rpm
