Hear The SLS AMG GT Roar Around Ascari
The SLS has always been a fan favorite since its introduction, and for 2013, AMG has not only added a "GT" to the badge, they added 20 more horsepower across the board, giving the heart-thumping power plant a whopping 583 horsepower at 6,800 rpm. AMG also added a more rigid setup for the springs and dampers, and the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission has had its ECU software tweaked up a bit as well for improved throttle response.
The GT benefits from quite a few more tasty upgrades but we'll just let the car speak for itself in the clip Mercedes has just added to YouTube. Enjoy the video below and try not to drool all over your keyboard, but do turn your speakers up.

lame.. love the SLS but the "GT" version should be a bit more different if you want to call it another model, i mean.. 20hp and stiffer springs? thats it? this should be just an optional package to the regular SLS.

The "regular" SLS AMG is discontinued. This is the only SLS available for purchase now I believe

But i still think its a bad idea to make it the only model insted of being offered as a package because now youre giving everyone a stiffer ride and thats not necessarily a good thing because:
1) This is not a GT3, 99% of people who buy this car dont track it. So making the ride stiffer appeals to whom? the other 1%?
2) Perhaps the younger crowd wont mind a stiffer ride but im sure the 50+ year olds will not be too fond of it. The regular SLS has quite a stiff ride as it is.
This should be a package, just like the C63's "P31" performance package.
just my 2 cents.
