In the hunt for a 2012 ML63 for the Mrs. She says she doesn't care about options and color. Blah, blah, blah. Well, I do, because I'll end up driving this thing almost as much as her (and I'm damn sure she'll care if this thing was baby puke green over brown).

So, narrowed it down to 2 cars. Similar options, so that's sort of a wash. It comes down to interior/exterior colors.

Diamond White/Designo Porcelain leather/Piano black trim



Palladium Silver/Designo Black/Anthracite Poplar trim



Love the white exterior, white interior....meh. Plus the maintenance headache with 2 small children....oy.
Silver is....well...silver. But at least it's not a typical boring silver.

Silver one is potentially a few thousand $$ less (still negotiating).

Is the white interior really going to make me want to kill myself? Need opinions ASAP!

 

I'd prefer option 2 myself.

 

Any practical reasons or just generally appeals to you more?

I just prefer that car in silver. I don't understand this word 'practical'.

I will never be a big fan of silver on cars but I would definitely go with option 2, no doubt about it. All that white leather is going to be a pain in the ass.

 

I think so. I was going to get my wife a white/oyster X5 before we ended up going white/black because it was a '12. The carpets are black so that will help. Black leather gets scuffed from shoes anyway. Just put some seat savers on the seat and on the backs of the front seats and it *should* be ok. Of course I don't know for sure, so I could be way off.

 

Option 2 because the interior is easier to look after.
