Thanks everyone. Yeah the car has a nice mix of mean and sexy..
Boursachi - I think new the 65 BS costs the same or slightly less than say and SLR 722. Not sure about the used market though.
InZane - No I didn't
I got this instead!
This was when it was still at the dealer. Sorry for the pic quality, I'll hopefully post some more soon.

Great review. I read similar reviews in a mag comparing the sl65 to the sl65bs and they said that the bs was better looking but at an extra 100k it could not put down any power and thus got slower acceleration times then the non bs. I ran into a guy who had a TTS and joined me on a nice run through some twisties, he also has a sl65bs that he never drives because it is just too much he said. He tried once to drive it in the twisties and said it was very heaving and did not corner well also he said it was scarry as hell because of how it spun the tires coming out of each corner.
Drop dead gorgeous car though.

Disappointing it doesn't perform as well as it looks. It looks gorgeous, I've always liked the SL platform, and the BS takes it over the top. Btw, talking about the SLR, gorgeous car also, except the front end. Mercedes really dropped the ball on that one.

Nice write-up! I actually dig it in that matte red. It does suit a car that has such an aggressive stance as the SL65 Black. Many reviewers say that it has too much power to be usable, as you also described, but I kind of dig that it is such a monster. It'll def be a car that's going to be remembered.

ohh and if you felt this powerful omg... the stealth is just unbelievable.
