test drove an SLS
I had the chance to test drive an SLS this weekend and I was very surprised at how much I liked the car. Liked it so much I am considering trading my 2011 gt3 for one. I love my gt3 but the SLS impressed me that much. Different cars I know but the SLS was fast and fun but at the same time offered much more comfort and road manners I just feel it is a car I might get much more use out of take it many more places compared to the gt3 which ends up being much more of a sunday morning spirited drive type of car. Both fantastic but I think for real world street driving the SLS was an impressive package. I have yet to read any negative reviews of the car curious if anybody has any complaints at all about the sls ?

the gearbox is the main complaint i have heard. supposedly the worst DSG type box out there. it must become evident at track speeds, at street speeds i didn't notice anything but the owner was sat next to me and it wasn't past break in. sounded great though and turned lots of heads (which the GT3 doesn't lol).
of course the SLS will be better in ny than a GT3, the SLS is not focused on the same things the porsche is. SLS is a grand tourer with a sporting edge, GT3 is a track car than car be driven on the street. apples to oranges imo.

btw, don't know your age or build but the older gentlemen i was with was having a somewhat difficult time during ingress & egress...
i had to stifle a few laughs watching him. just food for thought, you might be quite graceful i don't know.

the only other car that I think has similar appeal to me is maybe a ferrari 612 OTO which lightly used is about the same price as a new sls...the 612 gives you back seats, the SLS gives you german quality so the thing actually works
