No history car, but NO warranty (similar to the one in pic)
2005, about 50K mi on it.
Would you purchase it if u were offered a good deal on it?
One of my fave cars of all time, always loved the car, but after all, it used to be a nearly $200K car. That's the scary part.
I dont think servicing is that expensive, but replacement parts are for sure.
What would u do? I dont know a whole lot about extended warranties from dealers and stuff like that.

Can't you get a vehicle history report from a MBZ dealer? Surely there is some sort of warranty/maintenance history logged during the warranty period? If not, I would run from any car w/o a verifiable history as there is usually a reason is a smokin deal.......

What i am more concerned with is the future maintenance.
The car used to cost $198K new.
I havent spoken with any Benz dealers or specialists regarding maintenance on those, but i will soon.

I have been tempted too, but you absolutely should not.
While that is one of the most beautiful and powerful Benz' ever and ever to exist, they are also from an era when MB was plagued with horrifying build quality. Having been knee-deep in lawsuits re: Mercedes' build quality from those years (96-03), the things I could tell you . . .
