I guess it is only a wrap, there are tons of luxury and exotic cars in GCC wrapped in all types of reflective wraps.

Just google the "7 star hotel" and you will come across multiple websites with pictures of some pretty extreme cars parked out front of the hotel. I believe I saw this SLR along with a C63 that was also done in a "chrome".

Holy crap, I can't imagine that thing in the sunlight here. I don't think it's gold but probably a foil wrap. Seems to be the trend here. Company called foil-a-car that does this sort of thing.
