Why is the G55 AMG my favourite S.U.V ?

Got this from user TheDogsCar from Mbworld forum,
"I went to an Invitation Only viewing, by AMG, at the NY Auto Show on April 1. They did not have a G55K on display, and only a G550 downstairs in the MBUSA Truck/SUV area
I asked a couple MB Employees about the G ... and finally found one who seemed to be very knowledgeable about it, and we spoke for about 10 minutes ...
He said that the G would keep its current engine for the foreseeable future ... he went on and on about the cost to changing engines, issues with the exhaust, the gear box, the tranny, Federalizing for the US, crash testing ...
He said AMG love the G, and are trying to keep the G relevant, by the changes they are doing ... but the current engine is a good fit, and unlikely to change. He closed with, pointing out the G was to be discontinued in 2006, and it was not, so ... "you never know?"
... but it very much sounded like AMG is not working on any engine changes at this time."
Looks like there is a strong chance the current engine will be the same, who knows maybe more power.
