Mine is run like Buzzed said. I set it up on wifi, but plugged in Ethernet direct to my router afterwards. No issues, airplay and traditional itunes media work perfectly. Decent wifi alone is plenty for most streaming media if that doesn't work for you and AirPlay is worth it, IMO.
