when you go to purchase it, just use the apple id you used the first time

I did the same thing on both of my roommates computers and everything worked out.

Not required. Just log out of your wife's ID and download it using yours or whatever ID you used to purchase it.

For some reason, the display seems different on my MacBook Air (newer model) and the OS in general is not as snappy as it used to be on OSX Lion.

I've had it for months, and have had no issues with it. It's worth the $20 upgrade, especially if you have a recent generation processor and an Apple TV.

Downloaded it last night on my MB Pro (2010 model). I like the improvements so far. I don't use Safari (Chrome ftw), but I played around with it and did notice that it's faster. I downloaded the Messages beta when it came out and had to uninstall it because it kept messing up. The finished product is working well so far. The notification center is pretty neat as well.

Because of AirPlay Mirroring ability...

Apple OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 review -- Engadget

On a side note, can you help me figure out why every time I open a new tab using Google Chrome on this forum only I receive an "Error 502 Bad Gateway" message. I'm using Safari right this second and this forum works fine. This just started a few days ago and it's started to get a little frustrating...not sure if something has changed on the forum's end or Chrome's end.

Have you cleared the cache in chrome?

Safari > all. New safari is so damn good.
