I want to pick up a new iMac, but I don't want to buy it now only to have the upgraded model come out in a month. I've been searching around but can't seem to find anything. But, people say it should be updated soon.

Any ideas?

^Well if i were you i would wait, i feel like there is a major design change for the Imac this time around, since the update has taken over a year now, and normally they update it within a year with new hardware.

On the other hand you might have to wait until X mas worst case..
If you have the possibility to wait...i would say wait

If not..then today's Imacs aren't exactly crap either

Wait a few months if you want an updated iMac, wait till next year if you want a redesigned iMac.

 

Not sure what the redesign of the iMAC would look like other than a slimmer model and some update chip sets. I think the overall look will remain the same. I would call it more of an upgrade than redesign. Either way it will come. I do know I will go as long as possible upgrading my 4S phone with Verizon since once I do I loss my unlimited data plan. My wife and I are data hogs. We both use the Sirius app for the iPhone a lot.
