When do the new Macbook Pro's come out.

I understand that they are more then likely being announced at the next developers conference on the 11th. But how soon after announcement can I normally get a apple product.

My current 2008 Pro is literally falling apart at the seams, over the last week I have lost the battery, the DVD drive and the magsafe is starting to fray, there is a major dent in the lid and the hinges are going to die soon. This machine has held together for unknown number of work trips across the country and day to day, so not complaining.

Middle of this month I can make it. A month or more and I am going to have to break down and get one of the 13.3 pros that are being discounted.

I talked to my local stores and they said probably a couple of weeks, as they're announced at the conference but there might not be a release date set. Apple is pretty good at getting those things out quickly though, and I was informed to be prepared to wait until late June...either there or early July latest. But don't quote me on this.

I'm hoping that it comes out soon, I'm looking for a replacement for my MBP. Not that it's bad, I just keep reading about the new stuff and it's tempting me really, really badly. Retina screen, thinner profile, I can dig it.

I am really hoping for the removal of the DVD drive and SSD drive which would give them room for the bigger battery they keep talking about. I get stuck on 7+ hour flights all the time and to be able to work through the whole thing would be amazing.

most likely announced at WWDC next week. My work just bought me a new pro, unfortunately we couldn't wait the time for the new ones. I'll probably buy on my own when it's released if it really can support 3 monitors (2 external and the connected monitor)

This is what I have heard as well. If announced, the new macbooks will be available in early July (as per Apple's previous product releases).

Apple next-generation MacBook Pro (with Retina display) hands-on at WWDC 2012 -- Engadget

Well there you go. Shipped today. I didn't really have any intention of dropping $2k+ on a laptop though. Guess it's time to decide what I want but the Retina Display will not be it. I am bummed they didn't use that slick new chassis for the rest of the MBPs though.

Apple really pushed the bar with this release. It looks great!

Going back and forth between a new 13 pro/air or just stepping up to the retina pro and being done with it.

The last time I bought a high spec macbook pro it lasted 6 years and never skipped a beat. It was cheaper then re-buying every 3 years. Still on the fence as it were.

My folks sent me their extra 11' air which is what I am typing on now and man is it a amazing little machine though and it does 90% of what I need. Might wait a little bit longer and see what the geekbench scores look like. People should be posting them up in the next day.

If I get a retina though I will post my impressions of it.

I'm not sure how good the Retina will be for color representation?

Why wouldn't it be good? It's an IPS panel whereas the rest of them are TN, the retina display should be far better in every respect.
