SSD Replacement - Boot Issues
#11
^Thanks Mo. I'm saving that for sure! I am such a Mac n00b still when it comes to this stuff.
Wound up getting it fixed, what I did was reboot with the Snow Leopard disc in, held Command + R which brought up recovery, and then chose start up disc and selected the SSD. I will probably reinstall Lion just to make sure everything is working right.

Bunch of yip yap mostly!
Basically your computer thinks it needs to boot from the DVD drive for some reason. You can hold option to get a list of boot options, select the SSD, then in the OS go to system prefs -> startup disk and then choose the correct option.

For anyone with a Crucial M4 SSD's.
I have started noticing some performance and boot issues, and as it turns out, there's a firmware bug that needs to be fixed.
The firmware 000f can be downloaded from the Crucial website. It has fixed my stability issues.

Andy do you know which drives are affected? I see it was released in April, is this something I should do for my new drive?

What is happening ?
