Need an iPad/Pod/Phone

So, I am experimenting with lossless for regular CD's that I have on my iPod, and want to use the DAC in my NAD M15HD for playback decoding.

Amazingly, it seems almost all the docks out there are ANALOG DOCKS!?!

I have so far found this HDMI and TOSLINK dock, but was wondering if you Apple folks have any input. I want direct digital stream into my processor, but apparently not many people do.

There are a number of USB-based digital output solutions out there. You'll find the people who use loseless and care about the output to be in the minority.

I am basically trying to experiement consolidating my normal CD's into an iPod, but I want to preserve the PCM quality and use the DAC in my processor.

My SACD's get their own SACD player.

Wadia knows their digital thats for sure. I loved my Wadia traspost and da from many moons ago. I have not spent anytime listening to the iPod stuff from them so I can't comment.

That Cambridge ID100 looks sweet. I might pick one of those up.

I think I am going to as well.

Lots of problems with the Wadia 170, and not much review of the 171.
